Governance
Professionally led. Accountable to members.
AUF is a constituted community organisation. Our governance framework is designed to give confidence to members, councils, charities and potential funding partners.
Constitution
AUF operates under a written constitution adopted by its members. It defines the forum's purpose, membership, structure and rules.
Executive Committee
The elected Executive Committee is accountable to the general membership and holds defined portfolios and terms of office.
Annual General Meeting
The AGM is the sovereign body of the forum — where reports are received, accounts approved and officers elected.
Financial Accountability
Accounts are maintained by the Treasurer, reviewed independently and presented in full to members at the AGM.
Transparency
Decisions, elections and finances are recorded and made available to members. We hold ourselves to a high standard of openness.
Electoral Process
Officers are elected by members according to the constitution, on a one-member-one-vote basis at the AGM.
Working with AUF
We welcome dialogue with local councils, charities, faith organisations, community groups and potential funding partners. Whether you are considering a partnership, commissioning us to deliver community work, or exploring the AUF Community Centre project — we are ready to engage.
Documentation
A copy of the AUF constitution and the most recent audited accounts are available on request from the Secretary.
